Links and supported content
Links to individual posts on x.com or twitter.com, including mobile.twitter.com, links ending in /photo/1 or /video/1, and links with share parameters such as ?s=20.
No. The tool needs the link of a single post — the address that contains /status/ followed by a number.
Replies work like any post. For a quoted post, open the quoted post itself and copy its link, because the media belongs to that post.
No. Live audio and streams are not files, and direct messages are private. Only media attached to public posts can be saved.
Quality and formats
MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio — the most compatible combination for phones, computers, TVs and editing software.
X encodes each upload in several resolutions for different connections. We show all of them so you can trade quality against file size.
X converts GIFs to small MP4 videos when they are uploaded. You get that original file, which looks the same and is much lighter.
Devices
No. The downloader runs in your browser on iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows, macOS and Linux.
On Android, to the Downloads folder (usually visible in your gallery). On iPhone, to Files › Downloads; use Share › Save Video to move a video into Photos.
Errors
The account is protected, or X has restricted the post. We cannot and will not access protected content.
The post was probably deleted or the account suspended. Check that the link is complete and still opens on X.
The post contains only text, a link preview, or media that belongs to a quoted post.
Wait a few minutes and try again. Limits protect the service from automated abuse and reset quickly.
Download links are valid for a short time. Paste the post link again to get fresh ones.
Privacy and rights
No. Files are passed through temporary storage and deleted as soon as the transfer finishes.
Saving public content for personal use is treated differently from country to country. Reusing, re-uploading or selling someone else’s video generally requires their permission. You are responsible for respecting copyright.
