Step-by-step guide

  1. Paste the post link

Copy the link of a public post and paste it above. We read every MP4 size X stores for that video.

  2. Look for the Full HD option

Options are listed from highest to lowest bitrate. Full HD appears when the shorter side of the video is at least 1080 pixels — 1920 × 1080 landscape or 1080 × 1920 vertical.

  3. Download that exact file

The file is X’s own MP4, passed through without re-encoding, and its name ends in -fhd.mp4. Expect roughly 60–80 MB per minute of video.

  4. Check the resolution

On Windows: right-click › Properties › Details › Frame width and height. On a Mac: open it in QuickTime and choose Window › Show Movie Inspector.

Why this is tricky

Many downloaders hand you a 720p or smaller file by default, or re-compress the video and blur fine detail. X often keeps a 1080p MP4 of a post next to the smaller ones; the trick is to pick that exact rendition and save it untouched. When a post has no 1080p version, no tool can create real Full HD detail from it.
